May 2021 saw the first ever Bat Group Mingle virtual event, with the aim to provide a gathering place (online) for any member of a bat group to join together to seek advice and share experiences. There are almost 90 bat groups in the UK who collectively have experienced many situations that might be common to other groups, so by providing this platform BCT hopes to promote networking and connections between the bat groups of the British Islands.

Next mingle will be on 7 February 2024 at 7pm

Bat Group Mingle

A mingle will be taking place focusing on mailing lists. Discussing methods and systems to communicate with your bat group members. Come along for open discussion, sharing experience of different systems, or asking how others have overcome similar problems.

Previous mingles

The previous mingle was hosted by the Central Scotland Bat Group in 2022, discussing National Nathusius Pipistrelle Project, bat group management – bank accounts, email enquiries, membership systems etc. and SARS-CoV-2 biosecurity best practice. This was not a talk by the bat group, so any group was welcome to share their expertise, not just the hosting group.
