What a fantastic year for the Sunset Survey in 2022! A big thank you to all who took part in the Sunset Survey last year. We look forward to seeing results from previous and new participants this year. Sunset Survey volunteers recorded 2,273 bat records (which includes 15 bat species) and more than 90 non-bat species. A total of 353 volunteers across the UK participated.

The Sunset Survey 2023 starts from 1st April 2023 and we are particularly keen to get more survey records in Scotland and Northern Ireland this year.
